Rajinikanth Refused To Consider Thalapati Vijay As His Competitor, Said - He Is Much Younger Than Me
At the audio launch of 'Lal Salaam', superstar Rajinikanth broke the silence on the rumor of him being a competitor with Thalapathy Vijay and said, 'Vijay is much younger than him and fans should not compare the two.
Rajinikanth has clarified the rumors in which he and Thalapati Vijay were described as his competitors. Speaking at the 'Lal Salaam' audio launch last Friday, Rajinikanth told his and Vijay's fans, 'Don't call them each other's competitors.'
He talked about how Vijay is much younger than him. Talking about the rumors doing the rounds, superstar Rajinikanth told India Today, 'The competitor rumors have been blown out of proportion. Vijay has grown up in front of my eyes. During the shooting of 'Dharmathin Thalaivan', he was just 13 years old.
He further said, 'After the shooting, SA Chandrashekhar introduced Vijay to me and said that he was interested in acting. But I advised him to complete his schooling. After this Vijay became an actor and today he is on top.
Rajinikanth requested his fans and Vijay's fans not to compare the two, there is no competition between us. Talking about the work front, Rajinikanth will be seen in his upcoming film 'Lal Salaam'. It was scheduled to be released in theaters on Pongal, but now its release date has been extended to February 9.
