'Saalar', which has been earning handsomely since day one, has now increased the height of Prabhas's stardom a little more.
Superstar Prabhas' charm is the lifeblood of theaters these days. His film 'Salaar' with KGF universe director Prashant Neel is giving a strong dose of entertainment to the public. This film, which got the biggest opening of 2023 with its release, is getting a lot of viewers in the second week as well. Prabhas' explosive action avatar is giving a stormy experience to the public on the big screen.
After a spectacular first week, 'Saalar' took full advantage of the New Year weekend in the second weekend and collected more than Rs 37 crore net. The great thing was that the film earned more on New Year's Day i.e. Monday than on Sunday. Even after the working days started from Tuesday, the film remained strong at the box office, and now the collection of 'Salaar' has increased Prabhas's stardom to another level.
'Salaar' crosses Rs 650 crore
Giving information in a social media post, trade analyst Manobala Vijayan said that on the 13th day i.e. Wednesday, Prabhas's film has collected Rs 11 crore at the worldwide box office. Now the total worldwide gross collection of the film has exceeded Rs 650 crore.
Prabhas' dominance at the worldwide box office
'Salaar' has now become the fifth biggest South Indian film at the worldwide box office. 'Salaar' is the 5th top South film after RRR, Bahubali 2, KGF Chapter 2 and 2.0. Prabhas alone has 3 films among the South films which have grossed Rs. 650 crores - Bahubali 2, Salaar, and Bahubali. After him, Rajinikanth's 2 films (Jailor, 2.0) and Jr NTR-Ram Charan's 1 film (RRR) have collected Rs 650 crore worldwide.
Before 'Salaar', Prabhas's previous films could not do much at the box office. In such a situation, Prashant Neel's film is reaching a new height in his career. The film is still earning decent money in theatres. And there is every chance that it will reach Rs 700 crore before the Pongal/Sankranti weekend.
