Akshay Kumar Revealed Why The Uncut Version Of Omg 2 Was Not Released On Ott

Akshay Kumar OMG 2 OTT Release: Akshay Kumar's film 'OMG 2' got a good response from the audience. Before the release of the film, it was in some controversies due to which the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had asked to make 27 cuts, after making the cuts the film was able to be released. However, there were speculations that the uncut version of the film would be released on OTT but this did not happen. Now Akshay Kumar has made a big revelation on this entire matter.

Akshay said this on the film getting 'A Certificate'

Speaking to India Today, Akshay Kumar said, 'The entire team of OMG 2 was shocked when CBFC recommended 27 cuts and the film was given an A certificate.' Akshay further says, 'I wrote a book on sex education. Made a film and then a problem came up. It was given an A certificate. I made this film for children, but it was very unfortunate that I got an A certificate for it. Kids should see this! Our population is 1.5 billion, don't you think we need sex education? It was very sad.

For this reason, the uncut version of 'OMG 2' did not come on OTT

Akshay said, 'The film is on Netflix and people were saying that we should release its uncut version but out of respect for the censor board, I clearly said no to it. I had said that we would show only the edited copy which has been given to us by the Censor Board. I respected him and we proceeded with the cut he gave us. Let us tell you that the film OMG 2 was released on Netflix on October 7.
