Shweta Singh Kirti has written in her book - 'Pain: A Portal to Enlightenment' that when she was born, her parents had expected a boy because they were saddened by the death of the previous baby boy born in their mother's womb. She was very protective of Sushant because her mother believed that Sushant had been waiting for a long time in her life.
Shweta Singh Kirti wrote, "We grew up in each other's shadow - always together. We played, danced, studied, and had fun together, ate and slept, and did everything together. So much so that people did not even think that we were together." Both are different personalities."
Shweta Singh Kirti wrote, "Even if we were alone, people would call us 'Gudiya-Gulshan'." According to Shweta, Sushant Singh Rajput did not visit her after being busy in his Bollywood career, rather from 2014 to 2017, she used to come to India from America to meet him. She could not come in 2018 and 2019."
Shweta Singh Kirti wrote that in January 2020, she had planned a special trip just to see Sushant, but she could not meet him. 4 days before Sushant's tragic demise, Shweta Singh Kirti had called him and asked him to come to America.
Shweta Singh Kirti had written in her book that it was her husband who first informed her about this news on the night of June 13 in America and a shiver ran through her body. He wrote, “A shiver ran down my spine and I remained unconscious on the bed. I didn't scream. I didn't cry."
Shweta Singh Kirti further wrote, "I remained lying at a place which absorbed all the pain and shock of my body and mind." He also mentioned that due to Covid 19, he was not getting a flight ticket as there were no regular flights at that time.
Shweta Singh Kirti wrote that by the time she came to India, Sushant's last rites had already been performed. She had written, "I felt that I would not be able to see him for the last time nor would I be able to bid farewell properly. I had become very angry and irritable. There was no way out for me."
