Salaar OTT Release: The Wait Is Over! Prabhas's 'Salaar' Will Create A Stir On OTT This Month! Khansar Will Be Seen Soaked In Blood
'Salaar', directed by Prashant Neel, has made a worldwide gross collection of Rs 715 crore in theaters in 24 days. This Prabhas starrer film is now preparing for release on OTT. For this, a strong deal of Rs 160 crore has been signed with Netflix India. This film is going to be released on OTT this month.
Prabhas's 'Salaar' was released in theaters on 22 December last month. This film, made under the direction of KGF fame Prashant Neel, has made a tremendous comeback for Prabhas. The film has made a worldwide gross collection of Rs 715 crore in 24 days at the box office, while in the country it has earned Rs 403 crore. Meanwhile, very good news has also come for the fans of the actor. 'Salar: Part-1 Ceasefire' is going to be released on OTT soon.
Along with Prabhas, 'Salaar' also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapathi Babu and Shruti Haasan. Netflix India has announced on social media that this film will soon be available on their OTT platform.
The OTT platform has posted on its official social media handles. It is written that after its release in theaters, 'Salaar' will soon be streamed on the OTT platform in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. However, it has not been told when the Hindi version of the film will be released. Also, there is no announcement regarding the OTT release date. But it is understood that 'Salaar' can be released on Netflix on the occasion of Republic Day, 26th January.
Netflix has bought the rights of 'Salaar' for Rs 160 crore
Earlier it was reported that Netflix has acquired the OTT rights of 'Salaar' by paying a record price of around Rs 160 crore. There was also news that this Hindi film of Prashant Neel will be released on Amazon Prime Video. But then the report came that Netflix has got the rights to the Hindi version also. It has not yet been clarified by Homble Films as to when and where the Hindi version of 'Salaar' will be released on OTT. We may have to wait for one more month for this.
Story of 'Salar'
The story of 'Saalar' is basically based on two friends and a fictional city Khansar. Khansar is a place where tribes rule. These different clans are the biggest warriors in the quagmire of the crime world. Meanwhile, there is a fight going on for the power of Khansar, in which two best friends come face to face with each other. Prashant Neel had already made it clear that 'Saalar' is based on the story of his old film 'Ugramam', which he has made in the style of KGF.
