Ajay Devgan's Maidaan, Which Has Been In Discussion For Two Years, Will Finally Be Released Now

Maidaan was earlier scheduled to release with Rajamouli's RRR. RRR was released, and it also brought Oscar but 'Maidan' was not released till then.

Ajay Devgn's film Maidaan was announced in the year 2018. Then it was speculated that the film would hit the big screen in 2019 or 2020. But 2024 came and there was no trace of the film. However, now a big update has come regarding the release date of the film. It is being told that ‘Maidan’ is going to be released on Eid 2024. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh has confirmed this news by tweeting.

Earlier the makers had announced that ‘Maidan’ would be released on 27 November 2020. However due to the Corona epidemic that year, work on the film could not be completed. As a result, the film was not released on the scheduled date. After that Ajay Devgan announced that the film would hit the theaters on August 13, 2021. For some reason, it could not be released even then. The makers postponed the next release date by a few months. Told that the film will be released on Dussehra i.e. 15 October 2021. However, there was a lot of trouble ahead of this release date. The makers of 'Maidan' had put their handkerchiefs on the Dussehra release. After that, the makers of SS Rajamouli's film RRR announced that they are also bringing their film to Dussehra.

‘Maidan’ producer Boney Kapoor got upset over this. He abused Rajamouli in media interviews. He said that Rajamouli is an unprofessional filmmaker. The matter had become personal. That year Dussehra came but both these films did not come. February 2022 was announced as the next release date of 'Maidan'. Although this film did not come even then, Rajamouli's RRR was released in theaters just a month later. The makers of ‘Maidan’ again announced that now their film will release on 03 June 2022. Nothing happened on that date also. Due to the makers postponing the film so many times, various kinds of talks started happening around it. It was said that the film had gone over the budget. The makers got upset and canned it.

Then in September 2023, Boney Kapoor gave an interview. Where things like the closure of the film were called fake. He said that the VFX work of the film is still pending and it will be released as soon as it is completed. Now finally the film is coming on Eid 2024. However, no date has been decided yet. Let us tell you that due to the release of 'Maidan', Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's 'Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan may have to face losses. This film had already locked the date of Eid. Now ‘Maidan’ is suddenly coming on that date. Let us tell you that the teaser of 'Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan' was going to be released on 22nd January. But because of the sanctity of Ram temple, it was shifted. Now it is being told that the teaser of BMCM will come on 24th January.
