Shahrukh's 'Dunki' Is Continuously Attracting The Family Audience To The Theatres, Ready To Explode On New Year

Shahrukh Khan's film 'Dunki' was released in theaters last Thursday. The film received a mixed response from critics. But the public liked the emotional story of the film. Since its beginning, the film has been continuously giving a solid dose of emotions to the audience in the theatres.

The pairing of superstar Shahrukh Khan and director Rajkumar Hirani is doing wonders in theatres. Hirani's light mood comedy and emotional depth of the story are being liked by the public. Along with Shahrukh, Taapsee Pannu, Anil Grover, and Vikram Kochhar are playing important roles in the film. Also, Vicky Kaushal is seen in a very special special appearance. The work of all these actors in 'Dunki' is being praised a lot.

'Dunki', which was released in theaters on Thursday last week, started registering its strong presence from the very first day. Shahrukh's film, which started with earnings of around Rs 30 crores on the first day, is continuously running in theaters with solid earnings.

Second Friday of 'Dunki'

The second Friday was the 9th day at the box office for Shahrukh's film. The film's collection on Thursday was Rs 8.21 crore net. According to trade reports, there has been a very slight decline in the film's earnings on Friday. The film has collected between Rs 7 to 7.5 crore on the 9th day.

After 9 days, Shahrukh's film has collected more than Rs 167 crore at the Indian box office. Shahrukh's previous films 'Pathan' and 'Jawaan' had earned Rs 500-600 crore at the box office. In such a situation, the earnings of 'Dunki' definitely seem to be low. But Shahrukh's latest film is not an action-masala entertainer like the previous two films.

Being a non-action film with an emotional story, targeting the family audience, 'Dunki' is earning solid money. Talking about non-action family films released this year, the highest collection was made by Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt's 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani'. This film of Karan Johar had collected Rs 153 crore at the box office. Shahrukh's 'Dunki' has gone much ahead of this.

Ready for the big jump

New Year's weekend has started. On Saturday-Sunday, the public will go to theaters in a celebratory mood and Shahrukh's film has brought a good story about going to the theater with the family. The emotions and clean story of the film are certainly appealing to the public. The film's earnings seem ready for a solid jump in the New Year weekend.
