While giving official information, the makers have said that the weekend collection of the film is Rs 356 crore. The gross collection of 'Animal' in India is close to Rs 240 crore. Whereas the film has collected Rs 116 crore gross from the overseas market.
'Animal' has left behind Hollywood films like 'Napoleon', 'Hunger Games' and 'Renaissance' at the international box office this weekend. There is a huge difference in the earnings of 'Animal' which became the top film of the weekend and 'Napoleon' which was in second place. 'Napoleon' made a weekend collection of 35.75 million dollars i.e. about Rs 298 crore. This is more than Rs 50 crore less than 'Animal'.
Ranbir made history
So far only four Indian films have debuted at the number 1 position at the international box office. These films are- RRR, Animal, Brahmastra, and Master. That means only two films from Bollywood have achieved this feat. And the star of both these films is Ranbir Kapoor.
Ranbir's 2022 film 'Brahmastra' opened with $23.9 million (more than Rs 199 crore) at the global box office in the first weekend. It was the number 1 film in the international charts during the weekend of September 9 to September 11. Ranbir has once again repeated this feat with 'Animal', which will take his stardom to a new level.
