Ranbir-Bobby's Shirtless Fight Was Shot In Bitter Cold, Director Said - Did Not Steal The Action
Exclusive Animal Stunt Director: Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol starrer film Animal is one of the most awaited films of this year. Since the trailer, the film has been in the news for its powerful action scenes.
As soon as the trailer of the film Animal came out, a lot of buzz was created about it on social media. Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol are seen in a ferocious avatar in the film. Along with a dose of action and drama, the makers of the film are also claiming that more violence than this will not be seen in the Bollywood industry to date.
Let us tell you, the action of the film has been directed by South Industry's top action director Supreme Sundar Master. Sundar has shared with us the details of the action of this film in an exclusive conversation with Aajtak. Sundar says, 'First of all, I want to thank director Sandeep Vanga and producer Bhushan Kumar wholeheartedly for letting me be a part of such a big project and trusting me so much. Without the dedication of Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol sir, it would have been difficult for us to shoot so well.
Sandeep has made the list
Sundar says that before the shooting, Sandeep had made a list of some demands from him. According to Sundar, 'Sandeep had already told me that he wanted a 'rough fight' for this film. He did not want any kind of technical support or rope. Usually, it is called the live fight. Before this, I fought live in Tamil and Malayalam films. I was working with Sandeep for the first time and the experience was amazing. Sundar further says, 'However, it was difficult to satisfy Sandeep creatively. Before shooting, there were repeated rehearsals and many changes were made. He wanted to shoot every sequence perfectly. Believe me, our shooting was for forty days. But before that, we were continuously engaged in rehearsals for twenty days. All the action sequences have been choreographed after 20 days of special rehearsal training.
Full attention was given to safety
On the experience of working with Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol, Sundar says, 'Both of them are very sweet actors. His dedication to work is also amazing. He used to listen to all my instructions with full attention. Ranbir said he was doing such a dangerous action for the first time, but while training, he was not seen as underconfident. In fact, his confidence added to the entire shooting. Complete safety was taken care of during the shooting. It is God's grace that no one was injured.
First Bollywood project, I am a little nervous
Referring to his favorite scene, Sundar says, 'I have enjoyed Ranbir Kapoor's action more. There are a lot of scenes with her which are my favorites but I can't reveal the story by mentioning them. When the audience goes to the theatre, they will understand for themselves that Ranbir's action has indeed been top-notch. To be honest, this is my first project in the Bollywood industry, about which I was a little nervous and under pressure. After the release of the trailer, there have been very positive responses from people. Many people have called me after seeing the trailer. This is a proud moment for me. Hopefully, through this film, I will get more opportunities in the Bollywood industry.
The shirtless action scene was shot in minus 8 degrees.
There are many action sequences in the trailer, but the one that is being discussed the most is the one where Ranbir and Bobby are seen doing steamy action shirtless. In this action sequence, Sundar says, this scene was shot in London. At that time the set was ready at a temperature of 8 degrees. Both these actors had to act shirtless in the same temperature. It was a very difficult scene, but both completed it very easily. This is a sign of his strict dedication.
Korean movie style is definitely there, but not a copy
On comparing the action scene of the song Gandasa with that of a Korean film, Sundar says, 'The director wanted a real fight in this scene. This scene is not a copy from anywhere. This is definitely the style of a Korean movie, but it is not a copy. This type of style is common in Korean films. But it is not right to compare it or call it a copy. There is so much cruelty in the film, on the negative impact it has on the audience, Sundar says, 'Look, this is just a film. It is better if it is enjoyed only from an entertainment point of view. My only request is that the audience should understand the positive things and the essence of what message the story wants to convey. ,
