Craze Of 'Jawaan' Better Than Akshay's 'Mission Raniganj' And New Films, Solid Earnings Continue Even After A Month

The new films released in theaters on Friday are not doing anything special. 'Mission Raniganj', 'Thank You for Coming' and 'Bohon' got a jump on the second day. But still, the earnings of these films are not very impressive. If we look at the jump received on Saturday as compared to Friday, then 'Jawaan' is earning better than the new films.

After 'Jawaan' which created a stir in theaters last month, the atmosphere at the box office of Hindi films is a bit cool. Three Hindi films were released in theaters this Friday. Akshay Kumar's 'Mission Raniganj' and Bhumi Pednekar's 'Thank You for Coming' were the films released on Friday in which big names in the industry were there. Sunny Deol's son Rajveer Deol and Poonam Dhillon's daughter Paloma's debut film 'Dono' was also released in theaters this Friday.

The collections of all three films were very cold on the first day. There was definitely growth in the earnings of films on Saturday, but this is not going to do much good to these films. If we talk about the increase in earnings on Saturday compared to Friday, 'Fukrey 3', which is already running in theatres, is earning better than the three new films. In fact, Shahrukh Khan's film 'Jawaan', which has spent a month in theaters, has also remained quite strong at the box office compared to new films.

'Mission Raniganj' is in danger, 'both' are also in bad condition

Akshay Kumar's 'Mission Raniganj' was released in theaters on Friday. There was a very cold response among people to this film of Akshay from the beginning. There was neither any buzz on social media for the film nor was the advance booking solid for it. Akshay's film earned only Rs 2.8 crore at the box office on the first day. 'Mission Raniganj' became one of the weakest opening films in Akshay's career.

Trade reports suggest that Akshay's film has taken a jump of more than 60% at the box office on Saturday. On the second day, the film collected between Rs 4 to 5 crores. The film's earnings may have increased on the second day, but its total collection has reached only around Rs 8 crore after two days. No one would have expected such a low earning from Akshay Kumar's film, which was released on more than 2000 screens.

Rajveer Deol and Paloma made their Bollywood debut with the film 'Dono' released on Friday. This film, released on limited screens, is also not doing anything special and has been able to collect only about Rs 1.5 crore in two days.

Some hope from 'Thank you for coming

Bhumi Pednekar's film 'Thank You for Coming' received good praise from critics and audiences. The film got some benefit from this and it opened at the box office by earning Rs 1.06 crore on the first day. The film's earnings increased on Saturday and it earned Rs 1.56 crore. This film, released on less than 600 screens, has collected Rs 2.6 crore in two days. Earnings may increase slightly on Sunday. But overall its earnings are not such that it can maintain the atmosphere at the box office.

'Jawaan' is still a craze, 'Fukrey 3' is also making solid earnings

The earnings of new films definitely increased on Saturday, but their beginning was so small that as the earnings increased on the second day, the growth figures were bound to appear bigger. Whereas in comparison to these, the craze of Shahrukh Khan's 'Jawaan' still remains in the theatres.

Friday was the 30th day in theaters for 'Jawaan'. On this day the film collected more than Rs 1 crore. Trade reports suggest that Shahrukh's film collected more than Rs 2 crore on Saturday. That means, in the 5th weekend, the growth of the film seems to be better than the new films. Till now, in 31 days, 'Jawaan' has collected more than Rs 620 crore net in India. 'Fukrey 3', which came in theaters 20 days later, is also earning well.

'Fukrey 3', released last week, collected more than Rs 66 crore net in a week. On the second Friday, the film earned Rs 2.3 crore, and on Saturday its earnings increased to Rs 4 crore. Accordingly, 'Fukrey 3' has taken a jump of more than 70% on Saturday.

In the month of September, Shahrukh's 'Jawaan' single-handedly created a stir at the box office, and its next 'Fukrey 3' is also earning solid earnings. It is clearly visible that even the new films that came into theaters did not get the same growth on Saturday as the two already-running films did.

Since July, the box office for Hindi films has been continuously buzzing, but the films released this week are not able to attract the public to the theatres. Now all eyes are on when the box office collection of Hindi films will return to the solid pace it was running at a few days ago.
